History of the head branch of Club FEM in Texas The head branch of Club FEM, located in Texas, was started in late 1992 by Head Mistress Dee and slave gene to provide an organization for Women and men with an interest in Female Domination. Originally, Club FEM activities consisted of socializing, wearing fetish apparel, showing off BDSM (bondage/discipline/sado-masochism) equipment, and taking posed photos. There was very little dungeon play, if any at all. At this time, all correspondence was conducted by “snail mail” and slave gene wrote several articles that were published in magazines. A quarterly newsletter was mailed out to interested individuals. Head Mistress Dee and slave gene attended parties held by other fetish groups in Houston but found that they were mostly male dominant/Female submissive events. However, at these events, they were able to meet other people who were also interested in a strictly Female dominant/male submissive venue and the Club FEM membership began to grow. With the advent of the internet, the Club FEM website was created. Slave gene as official secretary for Head Mistress Dee became inundated with requests for information and membership. To their surprise, Head Mistress Dee and slave gene realized there were thousands of individuals, both male and Female, who were dedicated to Female domination worldwide. Club FEM grew its main headquarters in Houston, tx and also spread to other states when other dominant Ladies started their own branches of Club FEM in their area. After founding ClubFEM and presiding as Grand Head Mistress for 14 years, Mistress Dee formally announced Her retirement in August, 2005. Ms. Ella currently replaces Her as Headmistress for the Houston chapter and Club FEM International as well. In May, 2007, slave gene retired as the secretary of ClubFEM Houston to move to Jacksonville, FL to live with his new Mistress/Owner...another domme named Ms. Dee. Together they started the new NorthEast Florida chapter. We in the South Florida chapter wish them well. What is Club FEM? Club FEM is a social organization composed of individuals who want to develop sincere Female dominant/male submissive relationships. The Dommes are in charge of the activities at all times; and, Club FEM Dommes are considerate and caring Women who want the D/s experience to be enjoyable for all participants. Club FEM members get to know each other very well and even get together for “vanilla” activities occasionally. The Dommes are friendly and helpful to other Dommes who wish to grow in their fetish knowledge and abilities. And, finally, a word about D/s (dominance/submission) versus BDSM. To some Women, being dominant means having a man at Her service for such things as house cleaning, cooking massages, manicures/pedicures, foot rubs, general domestic servitude and pampering, etc. He knows She's in charge in the relationship and he is to do as told. (dominance, submission). He does whatever pleases her or she needs done.  She's the Queen of the house. To other Women, dungeon scenes using BDSM equipment such as whips, paddles, canes and bondage ropes are their ways to enjoy Female domination. BDSM describes Sado-masochistic behaviors which are not necessarily desired by all Women who dominate men. It is important for potential new members to realize these differences and understand that Dommes may choose one or a combination of both to achieve fulfillment. The primary focus of the Club is a variety of activities and behaviors between dominant Women and submissive men.
