The
Vision
Mistress
Lisa has long dreamt of a matriarchy in the United States. A matriarchal
community filled with peace, obedient males, confident strong-willed Women and loving FemDom couples
living in our own private community. This site is about ideas for
such a place and for us to work together to create a real matriarchy in
the U.S.A. One that is environmentally-friendly....an eco-village, a place
where the land is respected and enriched rather than destroyed. New ideal
ways of living sustainably are explored such as inexpensive naturally
home building techniques and organic farming.
FemDom EcoVillage Location: Southeastern U.S. (currently looking for the right location)
Acres to be determined.
Size: The first co-housing neighborhood inside the Ecovillage will be limited to a maximum of 30 households in order to keep a sense of a close-knit community. If we get more interest then we will consider building another co-housing neighborhood or separate section.
Founded: The idea came to Mistress Lisa in 2004 after visiting The Farm's website and other regular Ecovillages and realizing their more affordable alternative home building methods, renewable energies, and a simplier life that protects nature...would be the perfect blend for a matriarchal community in the southern U.S.; One that would be different from the typical patriarchal, wasteful, environmentally-destroying society that's currently in place. There is a better way to do things and to live peacefully.
Ideally our Eco-Village
would:
- encourage females to be strong confident individuals and males to be peaceful, useful and to honor the Female.
- be matriarchal. Land and namesakes would be passed through the females and be matrilineal. Matrilineal means passing from mother to the daughter. Finances would be controlled by the female in charge of the household. Final decisions in each household is up to the Woman.
- grow its own organic
food
- build its own homes
using inexpensive natural home building techniques
- generate its own
energy
- recycle all its
outputs into useful inputs
- utilize only non-toxic
materials derived primarily from local and sustainably harvested resources
- respect the land (Mother Earth) and its inhabitants. Try to limit the cutting down of trees. We would seek to plant and
enrich instead. Respecting nature would be key. Recycling would be integrated
throughout the community.
- creativity, music,
learning and female solidarity would be encouraged.
- have shared resources
like a community kitchen or multimedia library.
- each village member
could contribute their useful skills to the community in some way.
- home businesses
and home schooling would be encouraged.
- people would be
encouraged to build homes from natural building materials, such as cob
cottages. This would not only save people money and save them the stress
and long hours of paying for a hefty mortgage but it would also be better
for the environment.
- To create a strong
community feeling. A smaller village where everyone knows each other
and supports one another. A friendly environment that is the oppposite
of so many houses that are built today where people feel isolated. Ours
would be a supporting network with community events, dinners and matriarchal
celebrations.

The
Benefits of using Natural Home Building Techniques:
cob uses materials
from the earth to sculpt your own unique home
- You save money.
They're inexpensive to build. (for example, I saw a natural home online
built for $2,000 compared to the traditional home where you would have
a $200,000 mortgage and work for 30 years trying to pay off that hefty
price. Not having a big mortgage and lots of bills enables you to do
more things in life and figure out what you love to do.
- With cob, you can
sculpt your own unique home. There are many possibilities for the look
of your home. Be creative and use your imagination.
- Natural homes are
built from the earth and are better for the environment. Back to nature.
- Easy to build.
There are books and workshops available to teach people. (see Resources)
- Most people say
that curvilinear/sculpted cob houses feel twice as big inside.
- Can incorporate
energy saving techniques like solar power which is good for the environment.
- If in an ecovillage,
it can encourage having shared resources. Better sense of community.
- Natural homes can
be fun to make. Gather some friends and stomp or dance on some earth
together to make cob (a mixture of clay/earth, sand and straw). Even
kids can partipate.
- Less pollution
and disposal problems for future generations. Less cutting down trees.
- They can withstand
earthquakes and most won't catch fire.
- Being back to nature
discourages materialism and encourages a respect for the land.
- Natural homes are
inexpensive therefore they can be a possible solution for our growing
homeless problem in the world. Habitat for Humanity has already built
some natural homes in mexico for this. And more everyday people can
afford to build homes if they use natural home building techiques.
